And who do you think you are?
Running around leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Reliving will never be

SIMPLE STEAMED FISH

I just need to share with you this simple,
healthy yet tasty dish recipe!
The fish I'm always using is
the white promphet, shown below.
Ignore the reddish colour, it's the
lighting effect.

You can always adjust the quantity to suit your needs.
I always 'slash' the fish with two lines on each side
(not necessary.)
to make it easier to distinguish
the bony and the fleshy parts.
Also, it ensures that the flesh is well cooked.

Just sliced or diced 1 or 2 red onions.
Chopped some spring onions and celery
(daun sup daun bawang).
Chopped or cubed some tomatoes.
You can add in more vegetables such as
carrots and bell peppers.
You can also add sliced chilli
if you're a spicy lover.

Place all the cut ingredients with the fish.
Splash some soya bean sauce (kicap),
all over the ingredients,
depending on the amount of gravy you wanted.
It's enough for me once I see the base just
covered with the sauce.
Mind you, the soya bean sauce is salty so
if the gravy is too salty after it's cooked,
you can always add water.
Add one table spoon of soy sauce.
(doesn't matter dark or light)
You can also sprinkle some white pepper
or black pepper, if you're a spicy lover.
Do not put in any salt.
All right,
all is set!
This preparation takes around 10-15 mins.
If you're fast, you can do it in 5 mins,
or even lesser!

Steam the whole thing until the fish is cooked.
Steam it only after the water boils.
Under small heat, it'll take around 30-35 mins.
Medium heat will take around 25-30 mins.
I recommend small heat, it ensures that the
fish is cooked thorouhly and saves your gas bill.

Tadaa! The final product.
My presentation sucks, I know.
You can do a lot better.
Anyway, the taste is the same...
DELICIOUS!
Serve with rice and vegetable soup.

Yummy yum!
Try it!
Enjoy it! :D
